Season 1

A 10-episode arc that takes Sol and Vega from strangers to partners to the threshold of something bigger. The central question: What is Opus, really?

Episode 1: The Drop

~4:30

EPISODE 01

The Drop

The best fighter in Crescendo City loses for the first time. The best street performer in The Low End sabotages himself again. Neither notices the other when they end up at the same bar.

High Note, Low End, the neutral zone of Clef's bar

Episode 2: The Invitation

~4:30

EPISODE 02

The Invitation

Sol and Vega each receive half of an impossible invitation. It turns out Opus admits only pairs. Including pairs who would rather not.

High Note, Low End, The Bridge

Episode 3: Two Lefts

~4:30

EPISODE 03

Two Lefts

Their first attempt to train together is a disaster. Sol tries to teach form. Vega tries to teach feel. They accidentally produce one perfect synchronized moment, and neither acknowledges it.

The Bridge (neutral training roof)

Episode 4: The Low End

~4:45

EPISODE 04

The Low End

Sol visits Vega's home district for the first time. Culture shock played for comedy. And the first time Sol sees Glow used in ways the academy never taught.

The Low End (primary), brief High Note in transit

Episode 5: The High Note

~4:45

EPISODE 05

The High Note

Vega visits Sol's academy. Clowns on everything. A sparring session goes sideways and Vega instinctively protects Sol in a way that surprises both of them.

The High Note (primary), brief Low End departure

Episode 6: The Bridge

~5:00

EPISODE 06

The Bridge

A qualifying event at The Bridge. Call-and-response combat — you have to listen to your partner as much as your opponent. Sol and Vega lose. The way they lose impresses the right people.

The Bridge (primary)

Episode 7: Static

~5:00

EPISODE 07

Static

Chasing a lead on the Crescendo location, Sol and Vega enter The Static for the first time. The district's visual glitchiness infects the animation style itself. Comedy recedes. Something stranger takes over.

The Static (primary)

Episode 8: Vinyl

~5:15

EPISODE 08

Vinyl

An old master in The Vinyl who knew Opus — or claims to — tells contradictory stories that all feel true. The first real exploration of what Third Register means: not power, but surrender.

The Vinyl (primary)

Episode 9: Tuning

~4:45

EPISODE 09

Tuning

The penultimate. Sol and Vega finally sync. Their training is intercut with quiet character moments. Their Glows begin to harmonize. The invitation puzzle completes. The Crescendo is tonight.

Cross-Movement — Bridge rooftop, Low End, High Note

Episode 10: The Crescendo

~5:45

EPISODE 10

The Crescendo

The event. Sol and Vega enter the Crescendo. They fight, they perform, they encounter Opus's presence for the first time. The episode ends not with a victory but with a question that will define the series.

The Static — The Venue That Is Not A Place

The Cast

Six lights, six Movements, one question. Each character's Glow is a distinct animation language.

Sol — The prodigy who has never been surprised.

SOL

The prodigy who has never been surprised.

Raised in The High Note's most prestigious academy. Never lost a ranked match.

Movement: The High Note

Glow: Cool blue-white wireframe. Geometrically precise. Sterile.

Vega — The dropout who can't stop shining.

VEGA

The dropout who can't stop shining.

A product of The Low End who burned through every crew, mentor, and opportunity through sheer inability to take anything seriously — or take it seriously the way other people want. Stumbles into Second Register constantly, accidentally.

Movement: The Low End

Glow: Warm gold-amber. Flares in bursts. Liquid fire when in flow.

Opus — The legend nobody's met.

OPUS

The legend nobody's met.

The Gatsby of Crescendo City. Everyone knows the name.

Movement: All of them. None of them.

Glow: Unknown. Described differently by everyone who claims to have witnessed it.

Needle — The fixer. Knows everyone, owes no one.

NEEDLE

The fixer. Knows everyone, owes no one.

A sharp-tongued information broker who operates out of The Bridge. Knows everyone, owes no one, charges for introductions.

Movement: The Bridge

Glow: Stable amber Resonance. Glows when closing a deal, not when provoked.

Clef — The gatekeeper. Used to glow. Doesn't.

CLEF

The gatekeeper. Used to glow. Doesn't.

Was once something. Reached the edge of Third Register.

Movement: The neutral zone — runs the only bar that serves all five Movements

Glow: None. Dark. The rarest condition in Crescendo City.

Echo — The rising star. Everything Sol was supposed to be — better, shinier, effortless.

ECHO

The rising star. Everything Sol was supposed to be — better, shinier, effortless.

A rising star from The High Note who actually beats Sol in the show's first episode — the event that sets Sol's arc in motion. Graduated the academy two years after Sol, on a faster track.

Movement: The High Note

Glow: Bright white with rainbow refraction. Spectacular on camera. The Glow has a choreography.

The Five Movements

A vertical city stratified by genre. Each Movement has its own martial tradition, its own palette, its own physics.

The Low End

HIP-HOP

The Low End

Ground-level. Concrete. Graffiti murals that move when you are not looking. Boom-bap echoing off every surface.

Street martial arts — improvisational, percussive, breakdance-influenced

The Bridge

JAZZ

The Bridge

Mid-city elevated walkways and suspended plazas. Everything is curved. Musicians and fighters share a word: players.

Fluid arts — deflection, redirection, reading an opponent like a soloist reads the room

The High Note

ELECTRONIC

The High Note

Upper-city towers of glass and light. Clean lines. Everything slightly too perfect.

Precision combat — technical, data-driven, optimized

The Vinyl

SOUL / FUNK / R&B

The Vinyl

Less technical, more spiritual. Where the old masters live. Where the legends of The Glow originate.

Power arts — channeling emotion directly into physical force

The Static

NOISE / EXPERIMENTAL

The Static

The edges of the city where genres bleed together and the rules break down. Innovators and outcasts (often both).

Unclassified — styles that cannot be categorized

Three Registers

FIRST REGISTER

Tone

Baseline luminance. Faint. Mostly involuntary. Buskers glow softly. Street fighters flicker.

SECOND REGISTER

Resonance

Sustained, directed Glow. Where combat applications emerge: amplified strikes, defensive auras, sensory enhancement. Most professionals operate here.

THIRD REGISTER

Frequency

Total unification of self and expression. The mythic level. Legends say only a handful of people in any generation reach true Frequency.
